Covid-19 Watch: 1,628 new cases bring total to 4,859,136


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,628 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday (Oct 12), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's KKMNow portal, 1,621 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 7 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,859,136 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 1 death was recorded on Wednesday with no cases of brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,407.
